The Women’s Plaza of Honor is an urban oasis and gathering area located in the University of Arizona’s Historic Campus, revitalizing a once-neglected corridor. The Plaza celebrates women. Alumni, staff, students, deans, neighbors, Arizonans and anyone in the world can honor women who have enriched the lives of others.
Unique Features:
Donations through the sale of various garden amenities (arches, benches, trees, seating and paving tiles, boulders) fully funded the in construction costs, a total of $850,000. The continued sales of garden components contributes to the University of Arizona’s Women Studies Department Endowment Fund.
Responsibilities:
Project Manager, Designer, Construction Documentation and Construction Administration. With Wheat Scharf Associates.
